THE TIDES
Daily tides sweep the coasts and punctuate the lives of their residents. Twice a day, the sea withdrew away. It descends. This is the reflux, the ebb tide. And as surely, six hours after she returned lick shorelines. This is the flow, or flow.

THE ALGAE OF OUR COAST
Along our coasts, a black band appears on the rocks: it is an alga, lichen black, who likes to live hung just below the sea level high. This mark is therefore useful to identify how far the sea is rising.
SEAWEED THE SUBMARINE
Kelp forests are real submarine. They can reach 5m in height and serve as shelter and pantry to many animals.
There are also around the archipelago Brehat of "sea beans": these strips that can measure 3m long are edible.
